Richard Forde, LPC

I was licensed as a Professional Counselor in 1999 and I’ve worked in private practice with Lighthouse Counseling Center since 2012. Before coming to Lighthouse, I provided counseling ‘on staff’ at several local churches. I work well with adults dealing with complex PTSD, depression and anxiety, as a result of past (relationship) trauma. I work from a ’trauma-informed’ perspective and have quality training in the use of EMDR (Eye-Movement, Desensitization and Reprocessing) and other related models of therapy. I earned a graduate degree in counseling from Georgia State University in 1996. I concurrently received a Diploma in Christian Counseling from the Psychological Studies Institute in Atlanta. In my free time I enjoy walking, reading and playing my guitar.
